- Robbins is and is the annual site of the Mid Atlantic Star Party, a regional gathering of amateur astronomers. It is also

- Carthage
is the oldest town in Moore County, serving as the county seat of government. Carthage boasts an impressive Historic District, including more than 50 buildings and structures, some of which are dated to the pre-Civil War period.
- Foxfire Village was incorporated in 1977, and had its beginnings as a golf resort. Located four miles west of Pinehurst, this little Village surrounds two 18-hole championship golf courses.

- Raeford / Hoke County is situated right next to Fort Bragg and the Fayetteville are. The level of growth and development has been great in the past 20 years.
